Ulyanovsk Auto Engineering College becomes part of USU

On December 3, USU rector Boris Kostishko and other senior administrators met the faculty of the former Ulyanovsk auto engineering college, which, pursuant to a resolution of the Russian government and Federal Agency for Education adopted in late November, is now officially part of Ulyanovsk State University.

Speaking about new prospects this development offers to the auto engineering college, one of the oldest educational institutions in the city, rector Kostishko pointed out that joining USU gives its faculty and students equal access to all university facilities, including libraries, computer labs, sports and recreational centers.

What is more important, this move will help enhance continuity of education, a concept actively championed and developed by the university, which already incorporates a music college and a medical college. As many other current USU community members, auto engineering college graduates will have a chance to be enrolled as third year students in the appropriate USU faculty.
